This recipe is the best meal I have cooked in my crockpot. I love Thai flavours and this curry was bursting with them! I similar a footling oestrus in my food but my hubby does not, so I omitted the chili peppers and I don't use peanut oil so that was left out as well. There was enough heat in the scarlet curry paste to add some zing, but even my husband didn't mind considering the taste was so amazing. Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. To brand sure I got all of the browned bits out of my frying pan, I deglazed it using the beef broth and added that to the pot as well. I would also recommend breaking upward the beef one time information technology's cooked to a more "shredded" consistency. That'south like shooting fish in a barrel because information technology's falling apart anyway! That way yous can incorporate more of the sauce as yous spoon it over the rice. We liked this so much that I have just finished putting all the ingredients in the pot to serve to dinner guests this evening. I was frustrated trying to observe a recipe for beefiness that was non a stew or pot roast. This turned out better than I had expected and will now be my "go to" repast when I want to serve something especially skillful and a little dissimilar. Cheers for the recipe!

Hands-down the BEST dull cooker repast I've always made! For an fifty-fifty more fragrant dish, I sauteed the onion and garlic in coconut oil and used coconut oil instead of peanut oil in the sauce. I likewise thickened it at the end with a piddling corn starch. So delightful - so tender!!

Really actually bland made as written. Information technology needed lots of jazzing up with more lime juice, sambal oelek, and salt. I steamed some vegetables and threw them in and that was prissy. Would make again but with above additions.

We really really enjoyed this recipe. I did add extra salt from the get go (seasoned the meat) and ended up adding a bear upon more than once more after tasting. Also, browned the meat in the oil instead of adding information technology to the crockpot. Afterward the changes I think information technology was definitely a 5 to my taste. Adjacent time I might flour the meat to help thicken the sauce (did a slurry at the finish this fourth dimension). Some drizzled sriracha over the summit for extra heat!

I followed this recipe exactly except I left out the jalepenos because I was feeding this to my xviii month one-time. My husband and I beloved Thai food and eating out, and then this recipe seemed dandy because it was uncomplicated. This is nothing like what you lot'd become at a Thai restaurant. It was pretty bland and not actually flavorful at all (I used Thai Kitchen ruby curry paste). This is more than like something my female parent-in-law from the midwest would consider an exotic Thai dish. It tasted fine overall and was edible, merely I wouldn't phone call it Thai. This would crave major tweaking for me to brand once again.

This was delicious and easy! I will certainly arrive again.

This is and so delicious. My household is extremely excited for me to cook this once more. I ended up with 3 pounds of meat, so I adjusted the recipe roughly, mostly by sight, to make certain the meat was covered. I dumped slurry in at the end to thicken information technology upwards and we put it over rice. Information technology was astonishing. Next time I might try cooking the meat in corn starch every bit a previous commenter suggested and run into if that doesn't thicken it while information technology cooks so I don't have to add together the slurry at the end. I besides cooked this on high since I got started late in the morning and didn't have x hours to look for information technology to be finished on low.

I liked information technology and my hubby and son liked information technology (more than me), but it didn't taste anything shut to Thai food. It was similar Irish Stew meets Thailand because it was so stew and meatly similar. I would only make it again because my family enjoyed information technology.

Most fabulous beefiness teriyaki I've always had ! I made a number of alterations to the recipe using more simple ingredients I had on hand . It did non have the full amount of time recommended . But well-nigh six hours on though he in the crockpot . I did non add together any hot spicy things like jalapeños and I dumped in more brown carbohydrate then was recommended . I dredged the beefiness in a combination of flour curry and salt and five Chinese spice blend earlier Browning . My beefiness teriyaki was enough thick and super savory . I concluded upwardly watering information technology downwardly significantly to get the correct. Consistency . Since I don't accept coconut milk I used extra beef broth and a half cup of quondam shredded coconut I found in my baking cupboard. It seemed the other 3 reviews mentioned that the season was not as strong as they would like and that information technology was too watery and then I added Chinese five spice and a lot of curry powder instead of curry paste because I don't have any curry paste Also I will use lemon juice considering I don't have lime. I should add that I had no peanut oil and only used canola. This was so amazing I doubled the recipe and I'grand very happy that I did.

Not corking, not terrible. The sauce came out much greasier than I expected, fifty-fifty though the beefiness was of expert quality. I also don't think the flavors came together very well and it didn't have that warm, curry and coconut flavour I would accept expected. I would advise adding a light cucumber salad or a raita (sp?) with information technology to compliment.
06/14/2019
I made this in our Ninja Foodi rather than the slow cooker. Information technology worked like a amuse and took about one.v hours. Meat was so tender. Seasoning was delicious. Served with rice.
05/02/2020
I cooked in kokosnoot oil every bit recommended by others. Since many stated information technology was bland I added two tsp of Korean chili pulverization. Turned out nice and Spicy with a great coconut taste.
01/17/2018
I felt something was missing in the season. Maybe merely needed more of the Thai curry paste and I will try again with red Thai chili peppers instead of jalepeno.
05/16/2020
Did not add peppers, but added cayenne pepper to give it simply the amount of heat we adopt.
08/31/2017
I made this as directed (except forgot the basil because we were starving and hurrying) and the whole family loved it: my 2-twelvemonth old through my picky 13-year old. In fact, everyone had seconds. (That simply happens with a handful of favorite meals.) There may be a few tweaks I make next time, just due to preference, but will definitely make again! Would be easy to double or triple and withal fit in tiresome cooker. Served on basmati (our preferred) with edamame on the side and everyone was satisfied.
08/26/2019
Information technology was okay just quite tasteless and I even used more of the flavors than called for. Won't be making this once again
eleven/10/2017
Fantastic recipe. Easy and delicious.
01/23/2020
Lots of potential simply bland and disappointing as is. Would try again but volition double the curry paste, add together at least iii actress hot peppers and some fish sauce for depth
12/27/2018
I used venison. I browned the meat with flour.
03/05/2019
Crawly recipe!!! I added half a red onion, i.5 green pepper, half a bunch of asparagus and 10 pocket-sized potatoes. The last 20mins, I added 3/4 cup of water mixed with 2 tablespoons of cornstarch to thicken the sauce.
02/nineteen/2019
This is a keeper! I did modify some things because I know our taste, and so delight no nasty comments. I used Bound Onions insteads of diced onions, iii/4 tsp. of Cerise Curry Paste instead of the 3 Tblsp., 2 Tblsp. brown sugar instead of the 1 Tblsp., and I used Thai Fresh Basil and used a lot less than the i/2 cup.
08/06/2018
Really good and not at all spicy. Everyone in my family unit loved it. I served it with watermelon
06/03/2020
Yum. Curry is such a great way to get your vegetables in. Had a sweet irish potato and some broccoli slaw and fennel left over and then I tossed them in. Really proficient. Like the heat/sugariness combo.
02/xvi/2019
Very tasty. Non at all spicy for my taste. Minor changes - substituted for peanut oil. Time to come changes - will thicken after cooking is completed. And will chop the spinach a bit before adding it.
03/xvi/2019
An excellent, and easy way to prepare Thai beef. The season is pretty true to the cuisine. I changed nothing well-nigh the recipe.
02/15/2019
Got away with honey instead of brown sugar, lemon juice instead of lime juice, pork instead of beefiness, riced cauliflower
02/17/2019
i follwed the instructions as written, except i used my Instant Pot force per unit area cooker. i sauteed the beefiness to brown information technology then drained it as directed and then sauteed the garlic and onion in the pot. i put everything in the pot and cooked it on the "chili/stew" setting. When information technology beeped that it was washed, i quick released the pressure level and threw in the spinach to allow it wilt. and so i served information technology over brown rice. my married man loved information technology but it was and so hot he asked me to cut dorsum on the spiciness next time (he did have seconds though!). The beef was so tender; i would make this once more in the pressure cooker. Information technology simply took most 30 mins to cook.
06/12/2019
This turned out really practiced! As information technology is, information technology is not spicy and was a hit with the kids. I fabricated ane small-scale aligning since I used a stainless steel pan for browning. After browning the meat and sautéing the onion and garlic and placing them in the wearisome cooker, I poured 1 cup beef broth (originally 3/4 c) into the pan to loosen up the brown bits. I poured this into the wearisome cooker. If you browned in a not-stick pan, it isn't really necessary to do this.
03/26/2018
The aroma emanating from my dull cooker all solar day was about to transport us into a frenzy!! It was all nosotros could exercise to wait for dinner time, merely it was SO worth the expect. The beef was and then tender and the season wonderfully savory. This is a keeper!!
10/01/2019
This was succulent! I am saving this recipe and volition definitely brand it again!
01/xiii/2020
This was very tasty, but didn't have enough spices for a strong plenty Thai flavour. I'g going to try information technology again and up the spices.
05/07/2019
Skilful!
08/28/2017
This is one of my favorite meals! Piece of cake and succulent.
06/10/2017
This was REALLY Good. Browned the meat in seasoned flour, added a bit more beef stock considering we similar things saucy; just nosotros'll definitely make this again. Because making it with a different protein, like pork.
02/23/2020
Fantastic recipe first time around, only change i will brand side by side fourth dimension is adding a few veggies
03/10/2019
Most delicious meal I take made in slow cooker. It was easy to pull together. A family unit favorite.
12/18/2018
I simply used one/two jalapeño because of small kids and it was delish. Even married man who doesn't do spinach loved it.
02/18/2019
This recipe was astonishing. I only had craven and tofu on hand (de-boned a rotisserie chicken and fried two packages of tofu cutting into triangles in olive oil) I changed the beef broth to chicken and also added iii/4 cup of vegetable goop. I used a full jar of green curry paste and near 2 tablespoons of red curry powder (we like it spicy). Otherwise I followed the rest of the recipe as listed. It came out and so flavorful and tender. Side by side time I'll try the beef. Thanks for a neat recipe!!
02/22/2019
Great recipe, and easy to make. Mixed the sauce ingredients afterwards the meat/onion/garlic cooking in a bowl to blend better. Only used 1 Jalapeno. My 11 yr former liked it with the jasmine rice. He's not a very picky eater but doesn't similar spicy food. The family liked it, so information technology volition be going into the rotation. Thank you for putting this recipe online.
02/11/2022
I made information technology using a chuck roast (browned in pan starting time then added to deadening cooker) and then but pulled information technology apart at the cease. The rest was to instruction. It was probably ready in 4 hours, but a chuck roast in the wearisome cooker tin go nigh forever. I took out the roast, shredded meat and added back into slow cooker with spinach. Took all of 2 minutes for spinach to wilt/cook a fleck and served. The added fat from the roast may accept been what made this five star (instead of lean stew meat) since the fat added flavor and thickened the sauce a fleck.

Fabricated the recipe as is and found the dish to exist incredibly bland
03/24/2021
Delicious
08/02/2017
My 3 star rating is due to the face up that I eliminated one-half of the ingredients I'm certain. But I wanted to review anyhow. Nosotros don't like spicy food and so I left out the red curry paste and republic of chile peppers. My husband doesn't similar spinach and then I eliminated that as well along with the coconut milk. Nonetheless, the dish was still pretty good. My husband had seconds! I didn't intendance for it much but would endeavor it again calculation more of my own spices.
02/28/2020
I fabricated the recipe exactly because I had never used several of the ingredients; thought I would make adjustments next fourth dimension if we liked it well plenty. Nosotros loved it every bit is. The only aligning I fabricated was to brown the meat and add together information technology to the recipe about 3 hours before serving (husband thinks meat tastes boiled if added from the kickoff). I'll definitely maker it once again. The jasmine rice was perfect with it.
03/06/2020
Very practiced, great taste. I substituted guajillo chili for jalapeno and used more garlic but that's but my taste. Came out even better on the 2nd 24-hour interval after it had a gamble to sit down. Had it with a friend with fresh basil leaves and lime and, after we ate it, seriously considered getting up and making it once again for dinner.
04/09/2017
We loved this!!! I did as the previous annotate and browned the meat with a coating of seasoned flour. I also added 1 Tb. fish sauce and ii Tb. fresh ginger. This added another dimension to the season. So adept over rice!!!
02/sixteen/2020
I didn't utilize the jalepeno peppers and used red pepper flakes in their identify. (Someone in my business firm doesn't like hot stuff.) Information technology was delicious. The beef was very tender. It was a skillful leftover as well!
05/17/2017
This was crawly!! I couldn't use red curry paste because of allergies, but used 3T of a reddish curry powder. And omitted the jalapeno bc my kids won't practice spicy. I besides floured the beef earlier Browning and the sauce thickened up nicely. Only took most 3 hours in my boring cooker, so I added a piddling more broth to proceed information technology from getting likewise thick.
04/14/2018
We absolutely loved this dish. The only change I would make is maybe add another Tbsp of the blood-red curry paste.
02/11/2018
I made this yesterday and information technology turned out TERRIFIC. I was short on time, so cooked on high for 2 hours then turned it to low and it delivered in 6 hours as promised! Information technology was not as well spicy - Just perfect. Not sure why peanut oil was used, which I made a special trip to get. I used light kokosnoot milk and also put in ii additional TBSP chocolate-brown saccharide. I will definitely make this again.
07/21/2020
fabricated this per recipe and while tender, it lacked the spice level our family likes in Thai curries. will try adjacent time with four tbsp red back-scratch paste, coconut cream instead of coconut milk and ii tbs fish sauce.
03/31/2021
i added a splash of fish oil when i added the curry paste/lime etc. i as well added salt when i sautéed the onions and garlic in bacon fat. i cooked this dish in a Dutch Oven on the slow cooker setting in the oven. So, I used the same dish that I had seared the beef. I liked that I had the frond from the searing and juices. This was a really delicious curry and we will be making it again. We had it over cauliflower rice and sauteed zucchini just it would yummy over rice or fifty-fifty some pasta .... Also, my husband who enjoys very flavourful and spicey food. This was not bland at all, I just added the fish oil for some umami, and seasoned the beef liberally. Actually uncomplicated dish with yummy flavor.
01/05/2018
I used Light coconut milk because that's what I had merely I think regular coconut milk might have fabricated this taste better to me.
07/11/2017
This was tasty....and not quite as intensely flavorful equally I hoped it would exist. Peradventure my hopes were too high...but it was not spicy at all.
06/08/2019
This was delicious! I did add together a picayune more than cherry-red curry (but based on other reviewers' suggestions nigh punching upwardly the season), but this dish was already fantastic. Yum!
05/01/2020
This was a very tasty repast. The meat was then tender and the flavours were spicy but not too and hot but not also much simply a very squeamish alloy of flavor and texture. I did thicken the dish a little with corn starch simply because my husband prefers a piffling thicker sauce over rice. Not a fan of rice. I would definitely make this once again. I did brand my own cherry curry paste because I didn't have whatsoever and that was also a nice surprise. The but thing I didn't have on hand was the shrimp paste. Volition look for that when I tin can go out to a store.
02/21/2019
Delicious! Easy to follow recipe, piece of cake to make. Information technology was very good - will definitely make again!
02/23/2019
Groovy meal. Easy to brand. I added some Szechwan sauce to spice information technology up
